بنابر نظر فقها و بر اساس آنچه در روایات مستند و معتبر آمده است، مستحب است که مومنین در این شب ـ به یاد آن مجاهدت امیرالمومنین(ع) ـ در مساجد حضور یافته و تا سحر به راز و نیاز و مناجات با خداوند متعال بپردازند و لذا آن چیزی که از رسانه ملی با عنوان باز بودن در مساجد تا صبح عنوان شده به این دلیل بوده است، نه تاکید و یا احیانا ترویج آن مسئله خرافی که در خبر پیشین ذکر آن رفت
