The trial will he held on Monday without live cameras as judge Ahmed Refaat imposed a broadcast ban in the last trial session, for what he called protecting the testimony of witnesses, AFP reported.

Mubarak will be tried along with his two sons Gamal and Alaa, his former Interior Minister Habib al-Adly and six senior police officers.

The court will hear four witnesses, including the head of communications in the central security force and officers responsible for operations from the same force.

The ousted dictator and the others are charged with deliberate killing of peaceful protesters during the January revolution, which put an end to Mubarak’s 30-year-rule.

“We are expecting to hear the testimony of four witnesses that the prosecution has asked for to prove the charges against Mubarak and the others,” said Gamal Eid, a lawyer representing 16 of the killed people in the uprising.

Meanwhile, ten Kuwaiti lawyers are expected to join Mubarak’s defense team for the Monday trial session.

More than 850 people were killed and thousands more were wounded in the 18 days that led to Mubarak’s ouster after a three-decade rule, according to official figures.
