New York Times error sent to millions

New York Times error sent to millionsReviewed by مدیریت پرچم های سیاه شرق on Dec 31Rating:

The American New York Times has sent an email offering a discount deal intended for only several hundred subscribers to millions by mistake, Press TV reports.

The message intended for 300 New York Times subscribers who had requested to cancel their subscription, offered an estimated 8.6 million people a deal to renew home delivery service with a 50 percent discount for four months.

Within hours, the paper tried to deny responsibility by saying that the message sent out on Wednesday was the work of spammers.

However, it sent a message later on Friday claiming responsibility for the mistake.

Although the paper has not released any statements regarding losses, some readers say its reputation has been put to question.

In 2007, the New York Times opened its new 52-story skyscraper in midtown Manhattan. The newspaper’s ownership company has also recently repaid a loan it received from billionaire Carlos Slim Helu in 2009
