The protesters in Yemen have taken to the streets since late January, urging President Ali Abdullah Saleh to step down.

Saleh has said he will not seek another term in office in 2013 but has vowed to defend his regime “with every drop of blood.”

The death toll in the country has reportedly surpassed 300 since the beginning of the anti-government rallies.

In Bahrain, people have been demanding an end to the two-century-long rule of the Al Khalifa dynasty since February 14.

Dozens of protesters have been killed and many others gone missing since the beginning of the revolution. Bahraini forces have reinforced a massive armed crackdown on the uprising with the help of Saudi, the UAE’s and Kuwaiti troops.

Last Friday, tens of thousands of Egyptians came to the streets, demanding the transfer of power from military to a civilian government.

The Egyptian protesters, who toppled the regime of former President Hosni Mubarak, have called for the resignation of all officials loyal to the Mubarak regime.

They also demand a speedy trial of Mubarak himself as well an investigation into the conduct of officials responsible for the violence used against civilians during weeks of popular protests.

Demonstrators in Egypt say they will continue their protests until all their demands are met
