Nations in the world have served the US government as an “invincible” power for the past 30 years but it has reached a status in which it cannot even settle the smallest domestic problems, said President Ahmadinejad in a meeting with American anti-war activists and leaders in New York.
He added that US statesmen could not find an appropriate solution to the Palestinian issue after more than 60 years, IRNA reported on Wednesday.
Today, hegemonic powers are talking about introducing freedom and democracy to other nations, but they pursue such principles within the framework of (utilizing) bombs and weapons to serve the interests of capitalists, he underlined.
The Iranian chief executive emphasized that any idea, school of thought or claim that undermines the status of a human being will “undoubtedly prove to be a big lie and deceit.”
He noted that oppression, cruelty, war and bullying are carried out by individuals that have forgotten their humane nature.
President Ahmadinejad also stated that certain evil powers attack different countries and kill millions of people in efforts to “fill the pockets of capitalists and serve their interests.”
At the beginning of the meeting, the American anti-war activists expressed their views on ways to promote peace, stability and security in the world.
The Iranian president travelled to New York at the head of a high-ranking delegation to deliver a speech at the 66th annual session of the United Nations General Assembly about the Islamic Republic’s stance on latest international developments.
Ahmadinejad will also present participants in the UN meeting with a five-volume book series that includes documents on the occupation of Iran during World War II.
